Dr. Amy Bloch is a psychiatrist based in Westchester with more than 24-years of experience treating adults and children. She offers a compassionate approach to helping her patients suffer less, reach their goals and experience more happiness.
Using her in-depth knowledge of psychodynamic therapy, psychopharmacology, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness and supportive therapy, Dr. Bloch develops individual treatment plans best suited to each patients’ mental health needs.
Dr. Bloch is trained to use both medication and talk therapy, and specializes in treating psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, attention disorders, and bereavement. She also offers therapy for a myriad of parenting issues and works with parents of special needs children. Dr. Bloch teaches all of her patients how to tap into the power of their hearts to become Heart strong.
Dr. Bloch attended Yale University School of Medicine, and upon earning her M.D., she completed her psychiatric residency training, as well as a child fellowship training, at Weill Cornell Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry. She graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth College and received her Bachelor of Arts degree.
